Former member of the House of Representatives and grass-root politician, Honorable Edward Eta Ogon, extends his heartfelt felicitations to His Excellency, Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State on his recent victory at the Supreme Court. Speaking with newsmen Hon. Ogon said that Governor Otu’s triumph not only affirms the will of the people of Cross River State but also paves the way for the timely delivery of good governance to the populace.
Having served as a Commissioner in the Ministries of Works and Environment, as well as the Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice, Hon. Edward Eta Ogon is well-acquainted with the challenges and responsibilities of public service. In light of the Appeal Court’s judgment, he believes it is crucial for all political parties, particularly the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), to accept the court’s verdict and join hands with His Excellency to better develop our beloved State as there is an abundance of work to be done, and unity among political stakeholders is essential to effectively address the pressing issues facing Cross River State.
In addition , Honorable Ogon urged Governor Otu to pursue an all-inclusive government, that encourages the active participation of every willing Cross Riverian. By so doing, the Governor can harness the collective wisdom and talents and ensure that the “people first agenda” is truly representative of the aspirations and contributions of all citizens.
