Anambra State The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Senator Uche Ekwunife, has publicly apologized to Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his wife, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, following recent controversies surrounding allegations of infidelity.
In a press statement released through her Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Tony Ezike, Ekwunife distanced herself from a viral publication accusing Mrs. Soludo of having children with former PDP chieftain, Chief Chris Uba. The senator firmly stated that the claims did not originate from her or her campaign team.
“Sen. Uche Ekwunife categorically states that although she has been maligned, defamed, and disparaged by the governor’s media team, the said publication did not emanate from her or her camp,” the statement read.
Ekwunife also used the opportunity to offer a formal apology to the Soludos and the public, expressing regret over the heated exchanges in recent days.
“She further wishes to apologise to the Governor, his wife, and the general public who may have been affected by the altercations of the past few days.”
She called on her supporters to remain focused and avoid engaging in any media activity that could suggest further conflict with the First Family.
As the Anambra 2025 elections approach, the APC candidate emphasized her commitment to issue-based campaigns and maintaining respect for all stakeholders.
