Additionally, on Friday, January 12, the Director of Army Public Relations, Maj. Gen. Nwachukwu Onyema, stated in a press release that the female soldier had not reported her predicament to the appropriate bodies and institutions before releasing the video. Nevertheless, the army has taken up the matter and launched an investigation to ascertain the validity of her claims.
