Outgoing Cross River State NYCN Chairman Reflects On Successful Tenure

In a heartfelt message, Comr. Dan Obo Jr, the outgoing Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Cross River State Chapter, has expressed his profound gratitude to the state’s leadership, his team, and the youth of Cross River for their unwavering support during his four-year tenure.

Comr. Obo’s tenure was marked by a remarkable partnership with the state government, led by His Excellency, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, the Governor of Cross River State. The young chairman applauded the Governor’s commitment to youth inclusiveness, exemplified by the appointment of young individuals to his cabinet.

Expressing his appreciation, Comr Obo said, “My heartfelt appreciation goes to His Excellency, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State, who has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to youth inclusiveness through the appointment of young individuals to his cabinet.”

The outgoing chairman also acknowledged the invaluable support and guidance provided by his supervisory ministry, led by the dynamic and proactive Commissioner, Barr. Odum Ijom Esq. “I also extend my gratitude to my supervisory ministry, led by the dynamic and proactive Commissioner, Barr. Odum Ijom Esq., who has shown unwavering stability and steadfastness,” he added.

Reflecting on his tenure, Comr. Obo recognized that the experiences and opportunities he had may not have been perfect, but he and his team gave their best efforts. “As I move on to new responsibilities, I acknowledge that the experiences and opportunities I had may not have been perfect, but we did our best,” he said.

The outgoing chairman emphasized his deep gratitude to his dedicated team, from the Deputy Chairman to the entire NYCN Cross River State Chapter. He also expressed his appreciation for the Coordinators of the 18 Local Government Areas (LGAs), whose “dedication and commitment” he will greatly miss.

Comr Obo’s message also highlighted the importance of the “Cross River First” and “People First” philosophies, which he believes are embodied by H.E. Prince Otu’s successful administration.

The outgoing chairman reaffirmed the NYCN Cross River State Chapter’s commitment to supporting the Government of Cross River State and upholding the integrity of the state’s young people. “We remain committed to supporting the Government of Cross River State and upholding the integrity of our young people,” he stated.
