Political Shift in Boki, Frank Ojong Agbo defects to APC in Boki
Frank Ojong Agbor, a former chairmanship aspirant, has officially defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Known as Eze Ego, he was joined by six ward aspirants and over 40 supporters. This, in turn, marks a significant shift in local political allegiance.
Moreover, the defection event attracted various political figures, including the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor. Additionally, community leaders and party faithful also attended to show their support.
During the event, Frank Ojong Agbor expressed confidence in the APC’s leadership. He stated that his move was driven by a commitment to effective governance. Notably, he previously aspired for the House of Assembly under the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
Furthermore, the Secretary of Boki Local Government Council thanked the Deputy Chief of Staff for his visit. He emphasized that this visit would help address the poor road conditions in the area.

As a result, this mass defection could significantly alter the political landscape in Boki LGA, allowing the APC to strengthen its influence in Cross River State.
